My Old Agency Kept Recommending the Same Three Sites and Now I Know Why
Here is a thing that took me two years and a lot of money to work out. The agency I used to pay took a percentage of whatever the publisher charged. So every time they recommended a link, the expensive ones paid them more than the cheap ones. Nobody ever said it out loud. Nobody had to. The recommendations just kept landing on the same three sites, all of them pricey, all of them fine, none of them worth what I paid. I sat in that arrangement like a man in a leaking boat, bailing with a teaspoon and calling it strategy.
