subscribers not showing logged in under buddypress
When subscribers login under a social account and it redirects the buddypress bar still shows them as logged out. I thought this plug in was integrated in such a way for people to login to my site with buddypress or social login and can access their account either way, am I mistaken?

Yes, that is normally the case.
There is a known issue with avatars (pictures) but the fix is to be released soon.
Just to let you know that the new version of the Wordpress plugin now fixes the avatar pictures display.
