plugin generating emails

I have read through the documentation of the plugin and the suggestion to fix this issue was to check off in the plugin settings under "If the user's social network profile has no email address, should we ask the user to enter it manually?" the selection "Yes, require the user to enter his email address manually and display this message..." however the plugin still creates the emails for users loging in using the plugin. Is there another setting I'm missing?
