Makes new users Admins

Hello,

I have been using the Social Login plugin for a few years. There was a minor issue I ignored that is now getting worse as I get more users. Every time a new user signs up, it gives that user an administrator role which allows them administrator access to the backend of my wordpress site. I have checked all of my settings and cannot find anything that might indicate why this is happening.

Can someone please help? I just had to delete two malicious new user administrator accounts yesterday.

Hi Emily,

users get the default role.
You can change this in your WordPress admin area under

Settings –> General --> New User Default Role
