Name changes from Firstname Lastname to firstname.lastname

Hello,

When you login with your social network account on our phpbb-forum the name changes.
Like:
Arie Winter to arie.winter
Tom Arnold to tom.arnold
and so on.

How can we solve this so the name remains the same?
