Need wheels to get around Mexico

The calendar app on my phone gets checked constantly right now. I'm literally counting the days until I fly down to Mexico for a massive break. My brain is totally fried from staring at spreadsheets for the last twelve months and I need to wash off all that corporate stress. My plan definitely includes relaxing on the sand by the water along with checking out those crazy ancient pyramids and ruins. Which spots are an absolute must for a first-timer to check out down there? I also need to find a place to get a vehicle to drive around and hit different locations.

  • You'll completely forget about the office once you hit that tropical air. The entire coastline down there is built to make people drop their daily worries. A lot of folks usually start their historical tours by heading over to the famous Chichen Itza complex. Plus you can stick near the coast and drop by Tulum to see some ancient structures right on the water. You can also drive out to Coba since you can still climb some of the steps there and get a crazy view of the jungle canopy.

  • The highways connecting all those historical zones are completely paved and kept in great shape right now. Navigating down there takes very little effort since the road signs aren't complicated at all. You can rent a car in Mexico here https://getrentacar.com/en-US/mexico . There are plenty of regular sedans for the main roads, along with SUVs with higher clearance for the dirt tracks. The available options cover basically any type of trip down there.
