icons placement

Hello,

I would like the social login icons to be placed in the navbar_header.html, more precisely the following event:

image

How would I go about achieving this?
Thanks in advance,

  • Hi,
That is not too straightforward, but you can try (could be missing something, not tested): in directory ext/oneall/styles/all/template/event add a file named after your event (overall_header_breadcrumbs_after.html), with the following content:

{OA_SOCIAL_LOGIN_PAGE_CAPTION}

You will need to adapt the HTML code to match the context.

    Hope this helps
  • Hello,

Thanks for your reply, but did this not do the trick.
I disabled the Extension, purged the cache.
Created the file at the correct location:
    ../ext/oneall/sociallogin/styles/all/template/event/overall_header_breadcrumbs_after.html

   * where I removed the page caption and an additional end-div you had in place.

    Enabled the Extension again,
    Purged the cache again.

No joy. I think we (read: I) have to call the event into action somewhere?

    Hi,
This should work (tested it here). However, copying the code from the forum does not (some extra chars?).
Instead, copy/paste the CDATA from a similar file (like: ./ext/oneall/sociallogin/styles/all/template/event/overall_header_content_before.html), and change the do_render_ui method argument to point to the new div id (oneall_social_login_overall_header_breadcrumbs_after).

    Thanks for correcting the end-div.
    Regards.
  • Hey Frederic,

Much appreciated that you're trying to help me, thanks a lot for that already.
When copying from the other file and creating the new one it does indeed seem to work.

However, it somewhat 'replaces' the 'show on all other pages' option. The icons are removed from there and only shown in the breadcrumbs part. When I disable the 'show on all pages' option, it doesn't even show up anymore in the breadcrumbs.

What I would like to achieve is that it is shown in the breadcrumbs, below the Register - Login option. Nowhere else, just there. I tried fiddling around and fiddled some more but didn't seem to get it working. When I renamed, emptied or deleted the content_before file, the icons also didn't show up anymore in the breadcrumbs.

So any last, final attempts for suggestions to make it work like that? Or is that simply just not possible?

    Thanks in advance!
  • Hi,
If we understood correctly, then one thing to try is to remove the 1st and last lines of the overall_header_breadcrumbs_after.html, the one with the <!-- IF .... (this controls if the icons show), such that they will always appear.
Then, disable the plugin from all pages (extension configuration, as you did already).
    Regards.
